1) Where can I obtain an alarm permit for my alarm system?
In order to obtain an alarm permit please visit http://www.lacity.org/finance/finC1b.htm and follow the on screen instructions. There is a $30 renewal charge for the alarm permit.
2) How often do I have to renew my alarm permit?
You have to renew the permit annually. Triggered alarm systems without active alarm permits are subject to city fines.
3) Do I have to inform my alarm company of any new alarm permits I receive?
Yes, please forward a copy of the alarm certificate to our Redondo Beaches offices as soon as you receive your new permit.
4) How often do I get charged for my monitoring services?
Moore Protection invoices its monitoring services quarterly (every 3 months).
5) With regard to the alarm system, what is Moore Protection responsible for?
Moore Protection performs service and maintenance on the alarm/fire/camera systems we’ve installed or taken over. We also provide monitoring services for our active alarm accounts to ensure the correct contacts are called and the correct responding agencies are contacted. We do not provide Guard Patrol Services. If you would like to add a Guard Patrol to your account we would be happy to do so, but it is the client’s responsibility to contact a Guard Patrol for service. We have recommendations upon request.
6) Who do I contact if I would like to request service on my alarm system, look to upgrade or add-on to my existing alarm system, have questions regarding an invoice, update my alarm contact information, update my billing contact information, update my billing address, request a Residential Burglary & Fire Alarm Certificate (for Homeowner’s Insurance), cancel my account and/or any other general questions, concerns or comments?
